Poynton Poppies

The street poppies, made by Poynton Men in Sheds last year, were positioned along the main routes and gateways in Poynton and on noticeboards.

Poynton Men in Sheds Soldiers

The group made life-size Silhouette Soldiers to commemorate the end of the First World War.

Clickety Click made the poppies on the soldiers.

Poynton and Adlington December Newsletter


Property and Vehicle Crime

A number of fuel thefts were reported to us towards the end of November/beginning of December. Offenders targeted HGVs that were parked up overnight on Adlington Industrial Estate. IML-258661

Overnight 30th November- 1st December a tyre was damaged whilst parked on a driveway of a property on Dickens Lane. IML-256706

Overnight 3-4th December the sheds at the rear of a charity shop on Park Lane were broken into. At this time it is unknown it anything was stolen. IML-259311

Around 7pm on 6th December a window was smashed on a car parked on Brownlow Close. A group of youths were seen running from the area. IML-261621

Overnight 6-7th December we have received reports of fence panels being damaged on Kettleshulme Way and Spring Road.

Overnight 16-17th December a burglary occurred at a property on Queensway whereby offenders gained entry by smashing a rear window and an Audi vehicle was stolen from the driveway. IML-271114

Around 8pm on 28th December a white Transit Van has been stolen from outside a property on London Road South. IML-280969
