Christmas Fest 2018

This year's Fest was a great success!

Festive music, street entertainment, late night shopping, mulled wine, music, choirs and of course Santa - pictured with Town Mayor Cllr Sarah-Jane Gilmore.

Poynton Poppies

The street poppies, made by Poynton Men in Sheds last year, were positioned along the main routes and gateways in Poynton and on noticeboards.

The group made life-size Silhouette Soldiers to commemorate the end of the First World War.

Silhouette Soldiers on Parade

Poynton Men in Sheds played a major part in local commemorations of the end of the First World War. The group made life-size soldiers, which could be seen at St. George’s Church Hall, outside the Men in Sheds workshop at the Centre (107 Park Lane) and in Poynton Civic Hall reception. Clickety Click Club knitters made the soldiers’ poppies.
