Silhouette Soldiers on Parade

Poynton Men in Sheds played a major part in local commemorations of the end of the First World War. The group made life-size soldiers, which could be seen at St. George’s Church Hall, outside the Men in Sheds workshop at the Centre (107 Park Lane) and in Poynton Civic Hall reception. Clickety Click Club knitters made the soldiers’ poppies.

Here you can view photographs of the soldiers on their own and one of them together.
